Living Holy
I Peter 1: 13- 15 Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ, (14) as obedient children not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; (15) But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written “be ye holy as for I am holy. The word holy here is used in context of being separate from the world or our former lifestyle before we knew God’s word. It also is used in the hope we have in Christ, if you look in II Peter 3:10-13 it says “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise and the elements will melt with fervent heat both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. (11) Therefore, since all things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to the promise look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.” God tells us this world will be dissolved and all the works in it, He tells us to conduct ourselves as holy. We as believers have hope in Christ and in a better world where righteousness will reign. Because of this hope we are to conduct ourselves set apart, dedicated and separated from the sin of this world. We are not to live as the world lives, we stay away from getting drunk, being unkind, lying, cheating etc. We focus our life on God and doing good. We love our enemies and pray for them. We tell the truth and be honest in all things. This is living separate from that of the the world. Look at what the media shows us; it constantly shows us it is okay to tell a white lie or a fib. People a lie is a lie, no getting around it. This world is going to eventually come to nought, so why do we live like others, society should not be the guide that directs our behavior, it should be the Word of God.

Wow this really takes me back, do you have a RSS feed I can use?
Recently, I did not give so much thought to writing comments on weblog entries and have left comments even less. Checking out your powerful content, may very well encourage me to do this often.
Would it be realistic that you would be willing to instruct the general population how precisely they always make blogs of such high calibre? Heck, even the title Living Holy | Christians in Action moves me profoundly.
I enjoyed reading your blog. Keep it that way.
In some cases, that will prove accurate, but what about the masses of human beings who have no ability to write in this way? Are we simply going to brush them aside merely because they have little power in this earth?
